Why a virtual hospital?

• To allow students enrolled in nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy and clinical laboratory science to interact with robotic simulators in a virtual health environment as they would in the workplace

• To provide state-of-the-art continuing education for health professionals in the local community

WHAT IS AVAILABLE?

• 2500 sq. ft. of space provided by WFUBMC in the Progressive Care Building

• 4 room suite with pediatric, birthing, adolescent and adult simulators

• Over $1 million of equipment purchased by WSSU

• Use of cutting edge equipment in a School of Health Sciences

• First in physical therapy education in the nation to offer these types of learning experiences

• Opportunity to network with health professionals anywhere in the country to observe student practice and offer feedback
