Background and Aspirations

Elizabeth M. Adams, PhD, CCC-A currently serves as the Department Chair of the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology at the University of South Alabama. She has been on faculty at USA for 13 years, and has maintained teaching, scholarship, and service responsibilities during her tenure. Elizabeth first became involved with ASAHP as a participant in the 2017-2018 ASAHP Leadership Development Program. Through this program, Elizabeth attended two in-person educational opportunities and partnered with other association members to complete projects associated with the LDP. Elizabeth attended the 2018 ASAHP conference, where she was able to meet association members and leadership, and learn more about the association’s mission and goals. Elizabeth looks toward ASAHP as an opportunity to broaden her professional network across disciplines within the allied health professions, as well as an opportunity to serve the allied health professions and facilitate interprofessional education and collaboration.
