Call for Abstracts

2010 Annual Conference in Charlotte, NC

Interested parties are invited to contribute to the program by submitting abstracts to be presented in one of two formats: (1) Paper Presentation during a 30-minute Concurrent Session, or (2) a 4’ high x 8’ wide Poster. Each type must focus on a Topic listed below. The Association reserves the right to make a final decision regarding whether a presentation will be made in the form of a paper or poster.

Paper and Poster Topics:
TOPICS: Each abstract can be addressed from the standpoint of Education, Practice, or Research. Emphasis will be placed on having abstracts submitted that involve comparative effectiveness research, outcomes research, and evidence-based initiatives.
Instructions for Submission
- Abstracts MUST be submitted electronically using the template form provided on line. Download the form here.
- Abstracts must be no more than 200 words single-spaced, formatted in Times New Roman 12-point font.
- Specify number of Topic which best characterizes the abstract. 1. Education 2. Practice 3. Research.
- Capitalize the abstract’s title. List names of author(s) using no titles or degrees, followed by the Institution affiliation in parenthesis.
For example: Submitting an Abstract for Presentation: Jane Doe (University of the Health Domain)
- Paper Presentations should include a one-paragraph biographical description of the lead presenter.
- Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference program. Responsibility for accuracy rests with the author.
- If the abstract is accepted for presentation, only the first author will be notified in July 2010.
- Timely registration and payment for the conference are a pre-requisite for presenters. All presenters are responsible for their own expenses including registration, lodging, and travel. Please check the website for information about registration and hotel reservations.
- It may not be possible to accommodate all requests for concurrent session presentations and applicants may be requested to present using the poster format.
- Depending on the number of submissions, each author may be limited to only one concurrent session or one poster session. A contributing author must be present and registered for the conference to present a Poster.
