U.S. AGING IN AN AGING WORLD

Health care personnel will be affected by the steady growth in the proportion of the population that is elderly. America’s 65-and-over population is projected to nearly double over the next three decades, however, a U.S. Census Bureau report projects the U.S. population will age at a slower rate compared with other countries. Worldwide, the 65-and-over population will more than double.

The report can be accessed at http://www.census.gov/content/dam/Census/library/publications/2016/demo/p95-16-1.pdf.
