DRAFT STATE AUTHORIZATION RULE MAKES KEY CHANGE

The draft state authorization rule published on Friday and open for comments through August 24th, makes a critical change from previous rulemaking that will be of benefit to ASAHP members seeking to place students in out of state clinical settings.

No longer would states be required to actively review out of state colleges seeking to operate in their states — an onerous mandate that felt much like the accreditation process in many states.
