State Variation In The Care Of High-Need Adult Populations

An Issue Brief from The Commonwealth Fund contains a new analysis of national data that shows wide variation in access to care, barriers to receiving needed care, and satisfaction with services by state. In Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, North Carolina, and South Carolina, for example, 40% or more of high-need adults reported not seeing a doctor when needed or not filling a prescription because of cost.
