The Secretary's Award

The Secretary's Award for Innovations in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention recognizes forward-thinking proposals by health professions students and generates creative strategies for addressing goals outlined in HHS' Healthy People 2010: Understanding and Improving Health. HRSA's Bureau of Health Professions in collaboration with the Federation of Associations of Schools of the Health Professions sponsors the program.

Important Dates: Nomination packets must be postmarked no later than March 12*.

Scholarship of Excellence

The purpose of the scholarship program is to recognize outstanding allied health students who are achieving excellence in their academic programs and have significant potential to assume future leadership roles in the allied health professions. Each year, student winners will receive a $1000 scholarship.

Important Dates: Nomination packets must be postmarked no later than May 15*.

* If the due date falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the deadline will be the following Monday.
