Background and Aspirations

I have nearly 20 years of experience in Medical and Healthcare education and am currently an Associate Provost overseeing Institutional Effectiveness and an Assistant Professor, in the Samson College of Health Sciences for the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA. My academic background is in Experimental and Educational Psychology, with a dissertation in Interprofessional Education (IPE). I’ve published numerous articles and book chapters on IPE, assessment and evaluation of education in the Health Professions, with a latest chapter titled Using Data to Drive Decision Making, in the latest edition of the Occupational Therapy Manager.  I’ve participated in ASAHP over the last 10 years, being named Fellow in 2016, contributing to scholarship via numerous oral and poster presentations at the conference, participating in the Leadership program, serving on the ASAHP Nomination and Election committee, the IPE Subcommittee and the ASAHP IPE Award Committee. I look to move ASAHP forward by promoting a more collaborative and inclusive environment, as well as increase the use of data and technology to help its members.

ASAHP Activities:

Activity I: 2016, participated in the ASAHP Leadership Development Program

Activity II: 2016, inducted as fellow of the organization

Activity III: 2017 - present serve on the IPE subcommittee

Activity IV: 2018 evaluator for the Award for Institutional Excellence and Innovation in Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Health Care in addition to creating the scoring rubric and working on development of this award.

Activity V: 2017-2019 serve on the Nominations and Elections committee
