Dean
College of Health Sciences, Old Dominion University

Our Association has a truly outstanding track record in serving its members and advancing allied health professional education.

My goal is not only to continue the very best traditions but also to bring new opportunities that can elevate educational programs, improve research and expand services to the communities we serve. As a Congressional Fellow, I had the privilege of working for the United States Senate on issues of health and safety. I have also been involved with a number of academic and industry partnerships. In recent years, our college greatly increased graduate education, multiplied its research revenues and, shortly after opening a new building, plans for a second building of health sciences. Everything we have achieved is the success of collegial teamwork and shared governance.

ASAPH is the very best place to share valuable experience with colleagues and to advance teamwork in healthcare. I believe we have major opportunities for interdisciplinary teamwork, recognizing and also leading innovation in health professional education, getting our fair share from stimulus funds and allied health professionals gaining more recognition as important partners in quality health care.
