Elections
Kenneth L. Johnson, Ph.D.
Associate Dean
Dumke College of Health Professions, Weber State University

I have found that the more I put into a position or organization, the more I get out of it. I have often volunteered for the professional organizations to which I belong, including ASAHP. I serve on the Nominations and Elections Committee, as a member of the faculty of the ASAHP Leadership Development Program, and as the ASAHP representative to the Healthy People Curriculum Taskforce in Washington for the past two. These experiences, along with my regular participation at ASAHP meetings, have allowed me to appreciate what ASAHP is doing and more importantly, get to know a number of ASAHP peers from across the country. This has made my membership more worthwhile and enjoyable.
This opportunity is simply more of the same. I believe by serving on the Nominations and Elections Committee I can continue to make new friends and contacts in ASAHP. By so doing, I hope to enhance my experience within the organization. I’m willing to put in the time and energy required to be a productive member of the Nominations and Elections Committee.
