College of Allied Health, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center

Kevin Rudeen

ASAHP and the activities associated with the Association have been eminently important in the development of my profession and the leadership of my College. As such, I've felt strongly about participation in the Association and assuring the organization represents the membership in the diversity of its missions. My greatest aspiration for the Association relates to making it the premier Association for membership by all accredited colleges of allied health in the North America. It should be the goal of ASAHP to provide meaningful activities that will be of value to leaders of those colleges (deans, associate/assistant deans, directors, chairs, program directors, etc). As such, I have committed to providing opportunities within the association that will assure development of current and future quality leaders for member institutions who will ultimately direct colleges comprising the membership of the Association. In a sense, the strength of the Association is related to the strength of the leaders in the member institutions.

The Board addresses many significant issues associated with professional program accreditation, policy, workforce demand, scope of practice, and collective identification (branding) as functions of the Association. I certainly aspire to dedicate my experiences to the progress and advancement of the Association, to our members and member institutions, to the affiliate organizations, and to those issues of great importance that collectively define our professions.
