I have served in higher education since 1980 and have clinical backgrounds in nursing and physician assistant. My scholarship has focused on issues of diversity in the health professions and matters that affect health disparities locally, nationally and internationally. Issues of diversity in health care are very important to me and if elected to the Board of Directors, I will promote its discussion and call to action by the organization. Some of my greatest honors include being elected an ASAHP fellow and receiving the cultural pluralism award.
