Gregory H. Frazer, Ph.D., FASAHP serves as President of the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions (ASAHP) and was a member of the Board of Directors from 2003-2009. Dr. Frazer has also served as board liaison to the Accreditation Committee and as a member of the Finance Committee, the Accreditation Committee, the Economic Impact Task Force, and the By-laws committee. He helped organize the 3rd ASAHP Summit on Accreditation, June 25, 2004, and 4th ASAHP Summit on Accreditation, August 11, 2006 in Rockville, Maryland, and was one of four ASAHP representatives who regularly meet with the members of the Association of Specialized and Professional Accreditors (ASPA).

 In addition to his service to ASAHP, Dr. Frazer has served on the Board of Directors for the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) for the past 6 years, serving as board liaison to the Accreditation Review Committee on Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.  He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Commission on Accreditation in Athletic Training Education and has served as a member of the Board of Directors for EMS Educators Certification Services, the Jewish Healthcare Foundation/Coro Pittsburgh Health Sciences Fellowship, the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties, and Life’s Work, Inc.  Dr. Frazer has just been reappointed to the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) after a previous six year appointment, holding the position of Chair of the Physical Therapy Panel for three years. Dr. Frazer has been a national and international Specialized Accreditation Site Visitor.  Dr. Frazer was one of eight individuals selected nationally to participate in the inaugural Coalition for Allied Health Leadership Program in Washington, D.C. He was one of 20 participants in the National Healthcare Leadership Institute in Washington, D.C., sponsored by the Federation of Associations of Schools of Health Professions and the Gallup Organization.  He serves on the Editorial Boards of Journal of Allied Health, American Journal of Health Behavior, International Journal of Interpersonal Care, and The Health Educator: Journal of Eta Sigma Gamma.  Dr. Frazer is a national speaker and has published numerous articles and refereed abstracts in the areas of occupational stress and quality of life.

Dr. Frazer currently serves as Dean and Professor of the John G. Rangos, Sr. School of Health Sciences at Duquesne University.  Prior to his current assignment, Dr. Frazer served as Dean of the Victor F. Spathelf College of Allied Health Sciences at Ferris State University.  Dr. Frazer received his Ph.D. in Health Education and Administration from Southern Illinois University.  He earned a B.A. in Forensic Studies from Indiana University and a Master’s Degree in Sociology and Health Science from Ball State University. Dr. Frazer has also held faculty and administrative positions at the University of Central Florida, Old Dominion University, Indiana State University, and Eastern Virginia Medical School.  He has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in Health Law, Health Care Management, Health Program Planning, Health Policy Analysis, and Research Design and Evaluation.
