Dr. Randall S. Lambrecht is the Vice President of Research & Academic Relations for Aurora Health Care, Inc.  Aurora is one of the largest integrated non-profit health care systems in the country, and the largest private employer in Wisconsin.  Dr. Lambrecht previously served for 10 years as the Dean of the College of Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and as Professor of Health Sciences for 20 years.  He was granted emeritus professor and Dean upon leaving UW-Milwaukee in 2008 to join Aurora Health Care.

Dr. Lambrecht earned his Ph.D in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology at the UW-Madison, and taught in the UW Medical School prior to coming to UW-Milwaukee (1988). He holds a master of science degree in Preventive Medicine – Infectious Disease Epidemiology, and completed his B.S. degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences.   Dr. Lambrecht's expertise and research interests in bacteriology and infectious disease are known nationally and internationally.   He has secured numerous federal research grant funds, authored over 65 publications and holds two patents for molecular-based diagnostic tests.  He is a manuscript reviewer for 7 different scientific and professional journals.

Dr. Lambrecht is certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and is a fellow of the Association of Schools of Health Professions. He has served on numerous journal editorial and review boards, as well as professional and community boards.  He is currently the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Center for International Health, as well as having been past President of the [National] College of Health Deans, and previously has served as treasurer and  secretary. as well as member of the Board of Directors member for ASAHP.  He was appointed to the Medical College of Wisconsin’s Board for the Blue Cross/Shield conversion funds (Healthy Wisconsin Partnership Program) which oversees a $400M endowment for public health improvement.  He currently oversees all of the biomedical and clinical research activities for Aurora Health Care, a $4B health care system with 15 hospitals, 102 clinics, 90 pharmacies, and 30,000 caregiver employees.
