The University of Akron

The University of Akron, one of Ohio's leading public institutions of higher learning, is conducting a search for a new Dean of the College of Health Professions. The College of Health Professions offers undergraduate and graduate degrees and brings together the Schools of Allied Health Technology, Counseling, Nursing, Nutrition/Dietetics, Social Work, Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, and Sport Science and Wellness Education. The College will benefit from a transformative recent gift to the University of more than $20 million from the estate of Jean Hower Taber, some of which will support scholarships for students in audiology. The University of Akron now seeks a dynamic new leader as Dean for the College to sustain and grow its excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service and drive its further development and growth in enrollment, disciplines, and degrees. The new Dean will have the opportunity to develop and implement a vision for the future of the College of Health Professions.
