A unique and exciting opportunity is available for a visionary leader to join strong, established physical therapy and occupational therapy educational programs at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC). The position is available for someone with a strong record of outcomes-focused leadership.
This 12-month position requires an earned post-professional doctoral degree from an accredited university and preferred professional training in occupational or physical therapy. It is also preferred that the candidate have academic administrative experience and excellent interpersonal/ communica- tion skills. A record of research engagement is preferred. Responsibilities include serving as the Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, overseeing departmental activities in research, teaching, and service, providing innovative fiscal management for department growth, and providing adminis- trative oversight to existing and future Department Center(s) of Excellence.

The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences has strong professional education programs with close collaboration between physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other OUHSC units. The entry level programs offer DPT and MOT (transitioning to doctorate) degrees with students and faculty on both the Oklahoma City and Tulsa campuses. The Department has an excellent and established Doctor of Science degree program and an interdisciplinary PhD degree in Allied Health Sciences.
