Education: Charge: (a) Based upon committee members' knowledge of health care delivery and health data, identify new issues that may impact allied health education.  Discuss these issues at each committee meeting; (b) identify innovations in education that address new AH educational issues or enhance AH education; (c) develop strategies to increase diversity among AH students and AH professionals; (d) recommend programming for each ASAHP meeting, based upon the issues identified above; (e) review and/or edit, upon request, white papers or other documents that ASAHP wishes to release that are focused upon AH education; and (f) promote educational accomplishments of ASAHP and its members.

Health & Education Policy and Government Relations Task Force: Charge: (a) Develop strategies for increased allied health appropriations at federal and state levels; (b) influence opinions of lawmakers at state and national levels; (c) serve as a clearinghouse for information about state and national issues which might affect allied health education, practice, or research; (d) maintain existing liaisons between the Association and other organizations such as AHC; (e) identify other strategies for interactions between other organizations representing higher education and clinical practice (f) promote accomplishments of the Association and its members; (g) identify policies for the Association to follow along with opportunities for the Association to affect policy in external arenas; and (h) examine aging of the population and other factors that affect policy.

Nominations & Elections: Charge (a) Issue a call for nominations according to the approved rotational schedule or upon official request when vacancies occur ; (b) review nominees and prepare a slate of nominees for prospective Board of Directors' vacancies, as well as nominees for the Nominations and Elections Committee.

Research: Charge: (a) Examine allied health data and reports for implications for allied health research; (b) identify persons in member institutions for nomination to serve on advisory and study sections of federal agencies such as NIH, AHRQ, and NIDRR, (c) examine changes in health care delivery for implications for allied health research; (d) recommend programming for Association meetings; (e) promote ethical principles and practices in all activities; (f) promote activities aimed at increasing participation of under-represented groups in allied health; (g) promote the accomplishments of the Association and its members; and (h) examine data collection efforts of sister associations.
