National Health Spending Data Through August 2017

In August 2017, health spending reached a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $3.51 trillion, which accounted for 18.0% of GDP. Home health care spending grew the fastest at 6.5%, while hospital care spending grew the slowest at 2.3%. Year over year, health spending in August grew by 4.3%.
