Congressional Budget Office (CBO) Analysis Of American Health Care Act

CBO and the staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) estimate that enacting H.R. 1628, the American Health Care Act of 2017, would reduce the cumulative federal deficit over the 2017-2026 period by $119 billion. They estimate that, in 2018, 14 million more individuals would be uninsured under H.R. 1628 than under current law. The increase would reach 19 million in 2020 and 23 million in 2026.
