HRSA’s Area Health Resources Files (AHRF): County-Level Data for Workforce Planning

The Area Health Resources Files (AHRF), from HRSA’s National Center for Health Workforce Analysis (NCHWA), provide county-level data on health professionals, facilities, and population trends. ASAHP members can use it to identify underserved areas, understand regional workforce gaps, and design programs that respond to local demand. Schools can also use AHRF to guide enrollment, clinical placements, and training decisions so students serve areas and communities most in need. The AHRF may be accessed here
