On Monday, the Department of Education published proposed regulations on Education Department General Administrative Regulations (EDGAR). The proposal would let the Secretary of Education terminate grants as well as prioritze applications with low indirect costs. The proposal shares similarities with one the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) proposed earlier this year which was blocked by the bipartisan Continuing Resolution (CR) through December 11. The proposed rule may be accessed here. Public comments on the proposed regulations are due on or before Wednesday, September 23.
