RETAIL CLINICS AND INCREASED HEALTH CARE SPENDING

Retail clinics are viewed as a less expensive option to going to a physician’s office or to an emergency room. According to a study reported in the March 2016 issue of the journal Health Affairs, retail clinics still drive up medical spending by creating a new demand for previously unmet medical services.
