American businesses play a significant role in U.S. health care. Approximately 177 million Americans (61% of those covered) have their health insurance coverage through an employer, which is nearly 16 times the number of individuals who have it through the ACA federal or state exchanges. A new report from Marsh and McLennan Companies describes how employers are uniquely positioned to help control health care spending and promote positive health outcomes.
