The Prevention and Public Health Fund (PPHF) established by the Affordable Care Act supports prevention grants from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Without this support, current efforts to prevent infectious diseases and chronic illnesses would be crippled. Materials showcasing investments at both the federal and state level recently were developed, e.g., a listing of state-specific PPHF funding and job creation.
