A new report from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) indicates that 27% of working-age adults have earned a college certificate or a professional certification or license and 21% have completed a work experience program, such as an internship, residency or apprenticeship. Certificate holders were most likely to work as administrative assistants (17%) or in health care (12%).
