Department of Education Issues Call to Action on Higher Education Reform to University Presidents and Governing Boards

Yesterday, the Department of Education issued a national call to action to university presidents and governing boards. In a three-page letter from Sec. McMahon, the Secretary asked institutional leaders to address seven central questions, detailing adopted and planned reforms. The Administration is asking that such statemetns of principle should be posted prominently on institutional websites before the end of 2026.
